Would you like to help us organise a screening near you?
Are you a local community group or an enthusiastic individual, a university
or college who can help organise a screening of X Trillion in your local area? We’d love to hear from you!
We are keen to get the film out there and seen by as many people as possible so thank you for your help in making that happen. Below is a guide to putting on a screening which we hope will help guide you through the process:
Step 1: Finding a Location
-
This is an important point to start with as there are slightly different systems in place if you are putting on a screening at your own venue (e.g.university/office/community centre) compared to putting on an event at a cinema.
Step 2: Arranging a Date
-
It is important to give yourself plenty of time to prepare for your event, having a couple of months to get everything sorted is often a good idea.
Step 3: Signing a Screening Agreement
-
Once you’ve had a think about potential dates and locations get in touch with us to arrange a screening agreement. If you are hosting at your own venue, this will be a licence fee of £350. If the event is at a cinema, this will be an agreement with the cinema to split the proceeds of ticket sales.
Step 4: Promoting the Event
-
We have plenty of PR materials available that you can use to help promote your event and sell tickets. These include social media resources, film trailers and copy describing the film.
Step 4: Watching the Film
-
If you are arranging a viewing at your own venue, the film will be sent to you on a time specific link on a streaming site called Eventive. Allow yourself time to test the set up and film before it starts. If you are putting on an event at a cinema, the film will be sent to the cinema via a Digital DCP link and they will play it.
Step 5: Sorting out Financials
-
If you are organising an event at your own venue, you can use funding or ticket sales to recoup the cost of the licence fee. If the event is held at a cinema, we will split any proceeds from ticket sales after the screening.
